MNZ checks in with four-time world motocross champion Courtney Duncan as she prepares for the 2026 season racing in the FIM Women’s Motocross World Championship.
Filmed at High Performance Sport at the Velodrome in Cambridge, New Zealand, Courtney opens up about her 2025 season, where she was sidelined with an illness that derailed her women’s world motocross campaign.
Courtney also discusses the rising talent and the state of women’s motocross in New Zealand. From racing local club races to contesting the final round of the 2026 Yamaha New Zealand Motocross Championships and a slew of local club races during her lead into the 2026 FIM Oceania Women’s Motocross Cup, held in Wonthaggi, Australia.
Unfortunately, days before flying to Australia, Courtney experienced a crash in training that left her with broken ribs. She extended her stay in Cambridge to allow for her recovery and to keep training ahead of the FIM Women’s Motocross World Championship.
