Dispensations

Riders must be 14 or over to compete in road racing, due to the speed involved.  However, from age 7 riders can take part in the non-competitive Junior Road Race training and Mini Supersport 150 classes, where riders are mentored and emphasis is on skills learning. 

In special cases approval may be granted by the Road Race Commissioner on an individual basis for riders from 13 years of age to ride in the 125GP, 250 Production, Supersport 150 or Supersport 300 classes.

Road Race Age Dispensation

The basis for approval will be a recommendation from a previous or current top level rider or coach who shall commit to act as a mentor to the junior rider until the rider is eligible for a senior license. Please allow up to one month for this application to be processed.

  • Must be a current top level racer
