New Zealand Motorcycle Awards were held 24 May 2025 at the James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor, Wellington
On 24 May 2025, we gathered to celebrate the outstanding achievements of those who make our sport truly exceptional.
The Awards Ceremony was a memorable evening, brought to life by special guest speakers Stu Advant and Paul Tracey, with a video appearance from Simon Crafar, who shared inspiring stories from years gone by and words of encouragement for the next generation of riders. We were also honoured to welcome Hall of Fame member Aaron Slight in person.
The evening was expertly hosted by Neil and Brad Ritchie, ensuring a seamless and engaging celebration of our sport’s past, present, and future.
While some award recipients were unable to attend in person, we are pleased to share their acceptance speeches online. It was wonderful to see representatives present on the night to accept the awards on their behalf.
We also honoured our representatives at the ISDE. Although not everyone could be there to receive their medals, Kylie Dorr proudly accepted her medal. Kylie was part of the first-ever women’s team to represent New Zealand at the event — a truly historic moment.
The evening concluded with a celebratory cake, cut by our esteemed Life Members, Errol Conaghan & Sandra Perry, a fitting tribute to the community that continues to grow and thrive through dedication, passion, and legacy.
