MNZ are pleased to announce that the following nominations have been appointed to roles on the Motorcycling New Zealand [MNZ] Board of Directors
- South Island Representative – Rod Price. The incumbent representative in this role, Rod expressed his desire to stand for another term as the South Island Representative. Rod is based in Wanaka where he runs his business in Aviation Contracting and he brings many years of experience in motorcycling, both national and international to the group. Rod is also a current Board Member of FIM Oceania.
- South Island Off-Road Representative – Gretchen Pirika. Another incumbent, Gretchen has been chosen to remain on the Board. Gretchen resides in Rolleston, Canterbury and, along with here entire family, is very dedicated to the sport of motorcycling. A recent committee member of the Christchurch Motorcycle Club, Gretchen brings excellent first-hand experience, including race-event planning and management, as well as experience in her capacity as a MNZ Steward and Clerk-of-Course.
- North Island Representative – Philip Bixby. A mechanic by trade and more recently holding corporate roles in the Transport and Logistics business, Philip has had a life-long passion for motorsport and in particular, Motocross. Phil has supported his son through all levels of Motocross racing, from Minis to Senior Classes, while competing himself in MX and TT Events on an ATV.
- North Island Road Representative – Grant Collingwood. Grant is very well known to the MNZ Board, Officials and membership through his Live-Stream/Live Results business, CTAS. Grant has worked tirelessly over many years, predominantly at MNZ Road Racing and Motocross events to bring all the racing action to our screens. When he finds the time, Grant is also a keen riding enthusiast himself.
The MNZ Board and Staff look forward to working with these enthusiastic people, who will officially start their respective terms at the end of May.
MNZ and Staff would like to take the opportunity to farewell Scott Wilkins and SJ Cavell who have ended their term[s] as Board Members. The work and dedication of these two members has been significant and this is acknowledged and appreciated by all.
Scott and SJ are both staying connected to the motorcycle fraternity and we look forward to remaining involved with them in that capacity.
