Vale Ginger Molloy
Motorcycling New Zealand is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of MNZ Hall of Fame Inductee Ginger Molloy, one of New Zealand’s true motorcycle racing pioneers.
Born in Huntly, Ginger became one of New Zealand’s most successful international road racers. His career highlights include victory in the 1966 Ulster Grand Prix and finishing runner-up in the 1970 500cc World Championship, a remarkable achievement that cemented his place among New Zealand’s greatest riders.
Inducted into the Motorcycling New Zealand Hall of Fame in 2014, Ginger’s achievements, determination, and passion for motorcycle racing inspired generations of Kiwi riders, both on and off the track.
