MEDIA ACCREDIATION:  APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN – Closing 1 December 2025

The purpose of our media accreditation is to promote Motorcycle sport in New Zealand through the journalists and photographers who cover it. The media accreditation program serves as a professional tool, specifically designed for use by working media. Our comprehensive accreditation process ensures that media have the freedom to perform their roles effectively while maintaining the safety of themselves, our officials, and competitors.

UAV’s & Drones
Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV’s), drones and similar devices are strictly prohibited at any Motorcycling New Zealand permitted event, unless approval has been granted by MNZ.


Media Accreditation Application:
Applications for Motorcycling New Zealand Media Accreditation are now OPEN.  However, applications may still be considered on a case-by-case basis.  To require special consideration, please email   [email protected]  why you should be considered for a special application.

      • Declaration

        I accept that motorcycle racing is dangerous. I indemnify MNZ and its officers or contractors and the meeting officials, competitors and any other person associated with the event against any liability in the event of an accident or incident, injury, death or property damage to myself or others. In applying for this media accreditation, I agree to abide by the following conditions: 1. I am present at my own risk. 2. When arriving at the event I will make myself known to the Clerk of the Course or his/her delegated representative at the sign-in area and follow the sign-in process for media as advised. I will at all times obey the instructions of the Event Officials in relation to my safety and the safety of others. Failure to do so may result in my accreditation being withdrawn. 3. I will abide by any instructions from Event Marshals and exclusion zones as outlined in the supplied photographers’ map and agree to exercise personal judgment in my selection of location from which to shoot photographs or moving footage. 4. When working in restricted areas not accessible by spectators, I will wear the supplied MNZ Media high-visibility vest and ensure my Media Accreditation credentials are visible at all times. 5. In the case of any disputes, I agree to abide by the decisions of MNZ and the Event Officials. 6. Under no circumstances will I photograph or film injured competitors (unless asked to do so by officials). Any photography or footage of any accident will not be placed in any media outlet without prior written approval from an MNZ representative. I will advise officials on the day that I have footage of the accident. 7. Any official timing, results or other data including photographs, vision or sound recordings relating to the outcome of events may not be reproduced, stored in a retrieval system or transmitted in any form by electronic, mechanical, photocopy, recording or broadcasting means or otherwise without the prior express written permission of MNZ except for reproduction by recognised local, national or international media in regular publications, programmes or websites. 8. I will not market my own product/name at any MNZ event without prior written approval. 9. If the event I am filming or reporting on has a Naming Rights Sponsor, the event must be referred to with the sponsor’s full and correct name, and any further official sponsors will be also mentioned. 10. MNZ controls the right to seize or require removal of footage from the internet or other sources should MNZ deem it: detrimental to motorcycle sport or MNZ; shows nudity or extreme coarse language; names or shows officials or competitors acting in a manner seen as inappropriate by MNZ; shows any taking of controlled substances or alcohol; or for any other reason MNZ sees fit.
