NZ MINI’s MX CHAMPS

22 October 2021 | All News, Motocross

In consultation with the MNZ Board, The MX Commission, Christchurch Off-Road MCC and School Sport New Zealand, regret to advise that the 2021 NZ Mini MX Nationals, proposed for the 20 & 21st of November 2021, is now cancelled due to the current on-going uncertainty with Covid-19.

It is disappointing that we need to make such decisions and we too know and share the sadness competitors, families, and supporters will be feeling.

We take this opportunity to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of all those who make these events possible.

Concern continues to be the safety and welfare of everyone that supports this event.

With this strain of Covid-19 more susceptible to younger children, we want to ensure we do not put any one at risk.

We also need to ensure that a successful event can be run within the Covid-19 restrictions, and with changes to event delivery protocol changing regularly, this has only increased the uncertainty.

MNZ and the MX Commission is still committed to hosting a great event in 2022 as scheduled and we thank all persons already involved in the planning of this event

Kind Regards,

Gretchen Pirika, Board Member MNZ.

Mike Kerrisk, General Manager MNZ
