The 2024 International Six Days Enduro in Spain

Team New Zealand is fizzing at the prospect of achieving positive results at the 2024 International Six Days Enduro in Spain, starting next week (October 14 to 19).
This year’s annual International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) takes place in Galicia, Spain, on terrain that will really stretch even these elite world class riders and Motorcycling New Zealand knows that its official three-rider women’s squad – Tapanui’s Kylie Dorr (Beta), Opunake’s Taylar Rampton (Husqvarna) and Te Awamutu’s Rachael Archer (Kawasaki) – is extremely capable of flying the silver fern flag high on the other side of the world.
Dorr is the leading female in the domestic enduro competition (with one round still to run, near Masterton in November), while Rampton is a former New Zealand women’s motocross champion and Archer has just won the women’s grade in the Grand National Cross-country Championships (GNCC) in the United States for a second consecutive season, as well as winning the USA Sprint Enduro Championships for 2024.
Another point of interest for New Zealand enduro fans will be the KTM All Star Team, which brings together a trio of enduro legends, including Thames rider Chris Birch, a former winner of the famous Red Bull Romaniacs hard enduro in Romania.
Joining Birch in the “just for fun” three-rider KTM All Star Team is Frenchman Johnny Aubert and Germany’s Andreas Lettenbichler.
Aubert is a name synonymous with the ISDE, having won the World Trophy three times with France, while also winning the event outright twice.
Palmerston North rider Liam Ellis is the only other New Zealand rider listed among the entries and he will race his KTM motorcycle with pride in the C2 class as part of a three-rider Oceania squad.
Firmly established as one of the most prestigious offroad events on the world off-road motorcycling calendar, this 98th edition of the ISDE will see more than 550 competitors from more than 30 nations take to the start line in Silleda.
From the world’s best enduro riders to the most enthusiastic amateur and hobby competitors, Galicia will be a hotbed of action as the ISDE takes centre stage.
Defending champions of the World Trophy and Women’s World Trophy, the United States return for 2024. While aiming to go undefeated in both categories, they also hope to see their Junior World Trophy team top of the podium too.
In total, 18 nations will contest the World Trophy class, 11 will start in Women’s World Trophy, while the Junior World Trophy will be fiercely competitive with 13 teams.
As always, it is the Club Team Awards (CTA) who take up a large portion of the entry, highlighting the importance of the ISDE from grassroots level to the world’s elite.
