It is with sadness that Motorcycling New Zealand advises the tragic passing of Eli Hankins.  Eli was injured at a Club Motocross event on Sunday, 16 February 2025, and sadly passed away from his injuries on Tuesday night.

Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with Eli’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult time.  We recognise the impact this loss has on the entire sporting community; we unite as we mourn the passing of one of our members.    As we navigate this heartbreaking situation, Motorcycling New Zealand is committed to supporting the family, the Club and everyone affected by this tragedy.
