A group of passionate young New Zealand motocross riders are preparing to compete on the world stage at the 2025 FIM Junior Motocross World Championship to be held in Romagne, France on the 5th & 6th July 2025. While not officially selected as a national team, these riders have taken the initiative to represent themselves and New Zealand at the prestigious event, continuing the momentum sparked by last year’s standout performance, where New Zealand celebrated two podium finishes – Levi Townley 1st 85cc, Nico Verhoeven 2nd 65cc.
The 2025 event will see increased New Zealand participant, a reflection of the growing interest and ambition among our junior riders to test themselves against the best in the world. The opportunity to race internationally is a significant milestone for any young athlete, and these riders have shown determination and commitment to be part of it.

Competing in the 85cc and 125cc classes, the riders will gain invaluable experience on a European track against world-class opposition, whilst proudly showcasing New Zealand grit and sportsmanship.
