2023 SENIOR MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP

15 June 2022 | All News, Motocross

MNZ are pleased to announce the confirmed dates for the 2023 Senior MX Championship.
With Covid having disrupted the 2022 season, the MX Commission have worked hard and made some tough decisions on how to move forward from 2022.
We would like to take this opportunity firstly to thank the clubs and committees that have accepted the task of hosting the four rounds for 2023. There are still some details to work through and these will be supplied in due course.
Dates and locations for 2023 are
12/2/23 – South Otago (Balclutha)
26/2/23 – Rotorua
12/3/23 – Hastings
26/3/23 – Taupo
A significant change to the 2023 programme will see the Senior Women included into the championship series and become a permanent championship class. The Women’s championship will be contested over three rounds being Rotorua, Hasting and Taupo. South Otago will host a stand alone Women’s event at their round being the South Island Women’s Cup.
Can the cup be kept in the South Island or will it head North for the year?
The MX Commission are also working on finalising the dates and locations for the 2024 Senior MX Championship and making great progress on this, while discussing potential changes with stake holders to improve the series moving forward.
We are looking forward to a great series and superior riding.
Lindsey Heileson
MX Commissioner
